Naturopathic services are not covered by OHIP. However, many extended health insurance plans provide coverage for visits with a licensed Naturopathic Doctor. Coverage varies depending on your individual insurance plan.

Your first naturopathic appointment includes a comprehensive health assessment where your practitioner will review your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and wellness goals to create a personalized care plan. This may include a requisition for bloodwork, which is reviewed in your follow up appointment.

Your Doula can still provide physical, mental and informational support during interventions and emergencies to increase your knowledge and inform you of your rights. It is always crucial to know the pros and cons, harms and benefits!

Induction acupuncture has been successfully used to gently stimulate labor. A series of points are used on different areas of the body that have traditional actions for reinforcing labor. Multiple sessions are best for induction acupuncture.
